Han Naung Tun

Han Naung Tun, MBBS, MD, is a clinician-scientist and medical researcher affiliated with the
University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine. He is fellow of the American College of
Cardiology (FACC) and European Society of Cardiology (FESC), he has earned numerous
qualifications, including postgraduate certifications in heart failure from the London Heart
House and advanced cardiology from Zurich Heart House at University of Zurich. With a strong
focus on internal medicine, heart failure, cardiac imaging, preventive cardiology and clinical
trials, Tun has authored over numbers of scientific publications in peer review journals. Tun is a mentor in the American Heart Association's Hypertension Council and a member of various
prominent societies, including the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and the American
Public Health Association. He holds certifications in clinical research and has received several
prestigious awards, including the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award​ for excellent
scientific abstracts presentation in American Heart Association.
He actively contributes to professional organizations, serving on the Web & Communication
Committee of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and the Young HF
Committee of the Heart Failure Association (HFA) in the European Society of Cardiology (ESC)
and editorial board member of European Journal of Heart Failure (EJHF). Additionally, he is an
Ambassador of the Tele-Cardiology Working Group for Asia with the International Society for
Telemedicine & Health.
